Elizabeth Hawthorn

Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

Specialist Consultant locality based Psychotherapist for the Clinic for Dissociative Studies (London)

I have been qualified as a child psychotherapist since 2007.

I have varied work experience; in CAMHS, as a school therapist and as an independent practitioner. I offer work for children and parents. I also supervise other professionals.

I worked on a Government Research Project on Depression in 11-18 year olds from 2010 to 2013. During this time I was based in a CAMHS team focussing on 16 -18 year olds. I saw young people and parents.

I became a psychotherapist for the Clinic for Dissociative Studies in 2015 and currently provide weekly individual therapy for people who have a diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder. Before training as a child psychoanalytic psychotherapist I worked as a teacher of children with learning disabilities and following that as a social worker.
